• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Automate downloading of web log

Hello,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this question... but here goes.
I have an account with a hosting company, and as a client I use Parallels Plesk 9.0 to control my account.

I've been trying to download the current web log using FTP, but most of the time I get an error saying "550 The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process". The web server is IIS7, and the provider tried to toggle this setting for me http://www.channelprosmb.com/blog/e...r-March-from-the-Partner-managed-newsgroups./ , but it didn't make a difference, I'm still getting that 550 error.

There is never any issue downloading the current web log using Parallels plesk, so I was hoping to write a small c# program to download the file by automating parallels plesk, instead of using ftp. I found some API docs at http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PPP9/Doc/en-US/plesk-9.0-api-rpc/index.htm?fileName=40504.htm that describe how to set the log rotation settings programatically, but I can't find anywhere how to download a log file programatically. Is that possible? How?

Thanks!
Jimmy
