  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Automated ftp backup fails.. but manual ftp backup works!

humpy

Basic Pleskian
Hi, When the automated weekly website backup to ftp offsite server runs.. they do not back up.. I get error messages such as
Creation date is: 2016-Nov-19 03:36:03 Task status is: error Dump full name is:
and in deatils
execution-result status="error" log-location="/usr/local/psa/PMM/sessions/2016-11-19-033603.806/migration.result">
<message id="b6f860da-d142-4bb2-84e9-fc498c16a5ee" severity="error" code="fatal">
<description>Runtime error: Export dump to FTP failed at /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/plesk_agent_manager line 727.

etc etc..

However if i go into each websites backup manager one by one and tell the backup to run ,,, it creates backup and exports to the off site ftp server without any problem...
I am stumped ..
Running Plesk 11.5.30 and Centos 6.8, PHP 5.6

Hi,

Please have a look at this article, the issue seems to be related.

https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213374789

Also, there are chances for this:

The default timeout for FTP connections is 600 seconds. When Plesk uploads large backup files to an FTP server, the default timeout might be exceeded.

You may need to adjust the timeout setting in /etc/proftpd.conf

Thank you,
