  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question automatic update

moswak

Regular Pleskian
I have noticed that on some systems the update from 18.0.20 to 18.0.21 was automatically installed and on some system this is not automatically installed.
the update settings are the same everywhere.
Where can I look for what the problem could be?

The problem could be that the updates are not installed the same day across all machines to balance the load. Some systems might update earlier, some later. It also depends if you have selected the "late adopter" setting or "general" availability in the update settings.

some of the servers have automatically updated within the first two days after the appearance of 18.0.21 and the other part not, but after the login only shows an "An upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.21 is available."
if every month new upgrades appear, they always have to be triggered manually?
somehow I do not really understand that yet.

If "Automatically install Plesk updates (Recommended)" is select, updates should be installed automatically. Is that checkbox selected under Tools & Settings > Update Settings?

yes, the update settings are the same everywhere

what is "The SelectBestBuild function" ?

Does anyone know what the "SelectBestBuild function" is about?

if the two servers in my example would be different but that's not the case. both servers are exactly the same. same os had same extensions same configuration.
