Hello,

I faced this situation. There are 2 mailboxes inbox1@example.com and inbox2@example.com. inbox2@example.com has autoreply enabled. inbox1@example.com has mail forwarding set to inbox2@example.com. And now we get that when sending a mail to inbox1@example.com, the sender receives an autoreply from the inbox2@example.com address. Is there any way to turn this off?

As user @Olray has noted this is expected behaviour.

I am not sure, but perhaps it is possible to setup a Dovecot Sieve filter rule that filters out (blocks) autoreply messages bases on the forwaring address. You'll have to research this yourself to find out if this is actually possible.
