  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

AWSTAT Issues When Having Default Document Setting in Web.config

MorrisC

Basic Pleskian
If you migrate your site from another hosting panel with web.config defined, and you are unable to view awstat on plesk windows, or you see default page saying something similar to "this is the page placeholder for awsstat...etc....contact your system administrator..."

step 1. fix the default document, make sure your web.config include index.html as part of default document, or just remove default document section and use plesk UI to define the default document

once that is clear,

step 2. run command prompt and execute the following command, just copy and paste ( including quotation marks" )

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\web_statistics_executor.exe"

Then you will see your webstat works...otherwise you will have to wait for next scheduled task on that...

*if you use your own coding for web.config custom error redirect, make sure you do not redirect code 401 and 403 for "plesk-stat" directory, otherwise it will go to your own custom error page
