• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Backup a mail account

albans

Regular Pleskian
I want to remove and then recreate an e-mail account under Plesk...

But I don't want to lose everything in the mailbox, horde/imp settings, etc...

So, how can I backup an e-mail account and then recover it?

I didn't find any documentation about that... A selective backup would be perfect. But the Backup utility with Plesk8 is only able to make full domain backup.

Thanks!

When you figure that one out, I would love to know how to do it too.

Sorry, no insult to you in any way!!.

We have 100 mail accounts on one server we'd love to know how to reset mail/spamassassin settings to server defaults without having to manually edit each account.

The upgrade from P7.5.x to P8 and spamassasin 3.x have resulted in the necessity to manually edit anti-spam settings for each account. (according to SA Docs)

IMHO, and with regret it seems we may have to delete them all and start over.

Hope not, though.

You can always migrate the domain to another server and then migrate it back i suppose while maintaining the domain.

But if the domain is large and has many users it would **** to have to do this.

If i misunderstood the question sorry, I'm sleepy ;)

We have been using migrate between servers to do this, but from what we understand there are manual edits needed on the spamassassin upgrade.

We're still looking at it.

Whatever changes you want to make to your spamassassin settings. Try running /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/spammng --help to see the available options.
