  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

backup manager - best pratices

hardbrasil

Regular Pleskian
Hello fellas, 2 doubts about backups manager of Plesk:

a) Backup of emails - how it works the incremental mode?

Scenario: i set on manager to save emails and 3 backups incremental (weekly).
if a customer delete an email this will be removed of next incremental backup?

b) when i went to restore i choose the main backup file + the incremental (more recent)
its right?

Another option to consider is rSync. You can set up a cron to do a daily backup of client email.

I have all my domains with an incremental backup connected by FTPS to internet server and It's work fine. Also the Plesk backup systems saves databases and emails It's great!!
