  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Backup Manager does not remove old files

New Pleskian
Hi All,

Running Plesk 10.4.4 Update #50, Ubuntu 10.04 (up-to-date) - clients that use the backup manager to keep a day or two of backups are getting overuse warnings...

If they have set to keep any number of daily backups, all backups still show in the backup list. More interesting, deleting these via the panel removes them from their storage use calculations, but the files still reside in /var/lib/psa/dumps/clients/foo. Nobody is using FTP backup, this is all 'local storage'.

We have tried changing the settings, and setting them back just to make sure it was not a db quirk. I have checked the crons, ran them manually and no change. How does Plesk manage these backups and what exactly should I start looking at?

Thanks.
