  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Resolved Backup passwords

Hi thinkingcap,

from my point of view, the documentation is pretty clear:

Before downloading the file, Plesk will prompt you to protect the backup with a password. Doing so encrypts the passwords stored in the Plesk database. This way, even if the backup file falls into the hands of a third party, they will not be able to obtain the passwords stored inside, as restoring a password-protecting file without providing the correct password results in all passwords being generated randomly. If you do not want to protect your backup with a password, clear the Use password protection checkbox.
If you have further questions, pls. don't hesitate to specify it. :)
