backupmng: database connection error

Hi,

i noticed that my shceduled backups are not running.

trying to solve the problem i found out that, although i can log into plesk without problems, when i try to run

/opt/psa/admin/sbin/backupmng

i get the error:

backupmng: Unable to connect to Plesk Database: Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

how can i fix this?
