  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Best strategies and tools for VPS backup

CobraArbok

Regular Pleskian
I want to test for the complete recovery of the server.

I have an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS VPS, with Plesk Onyx (Latest release).
In this simulation I want to do a complete backup and restore on a second VPS where I will install Ubuntu 18.04 without Plesk.
There are no problems with the Plesk license because in any case I also have a license for the second VPS.

I have then also:
  • an access on an FTP / SFTP space
  • a Dropbox access
  • an additional Ubuntu 18.04 LTS server to be used for storage and where, if necessary, I can install FreeNAS.
What are the best strategies to recommend and with what tools (in Plesk and not).

Thanks in advance.
