• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Bug in Plesk secur-check

There is a bug, when this cron job is called:

/usr/local/psa/libexec/modules/watchdog/cp/secur-check

The log looks like this:

[ Rootkit Hunter version 1.3.4 ]

Checking rkhunter data files...
Checking file mirrors.dat [ No update ]
Checking file programs_bad.dat [ No update ]
Checking file backdoorports.dat [ No update ]
Checking file suspscan.dat [ No update ]
Checking file i18n/cn [ No update ]
Checking file i18n/de [ No update ]
Checking file i18n/en [ No update ]
Checking file i18n/zh [ No update ]
Checking file i18n/zh.utf8 [ No update ]
Invalid option specified: --report-mode

So how can that "invalid option" be corrected? As far as I can see, this is a call in that secur-check, that is crypted for plesk.

TIA Detlef

Affirmative! I am seeing this too.

Parallels, what is your suggested move to tackle this problem?

Hi,

please check the file "libexec/modules/watchdog/security/schedule" in your plesk folder (usually /opt/psa/ depending on your install).

HTH!

Regards,
Christian

Thanks, for pointing me at the right location!

I removed the report-mode switch since I could not find a proper substitute. Seems to work now.
