• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

We tried to change DNS service from bind DNS server to Microsoft DNS server yesterday and it failed. We switched it off at first then chose Microsoft DNS server. But that dns service could not switch it correctly and then failed. Now I can't even change it back to bind dns server, so now my site's DNS service cannot work and I cannot add or remove any sites now. Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

OS: Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2
Plesk Panel 9.5.2

There is a error message in eventlog of windows server 2003:

Execute dnsmng.exe REMOVE * failed:
at (execUtil line 135)
at Execute D:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\dnsmng.exe REMOVE *(execUtil line 155)
at msdns unset default(MSDnsPackage::SetDefault line 80)
Execute file name: D:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\defpackagemng.exe

What version of MS DNS you have?
Fix for Plesk 9.5.2 in attachment. Just copy this DLL in %plesk_bin%.

thanks for your reply, IgorG
I copied the file to %plesk_bin%, but when I tried to choose Microsoft DNS Server, it was just running, and after about 20 minutes running, it's still failure.
