• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Cant login securely

Amgeek

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian Version 18.0.58
I am using Plesk Obsidian Version 18.0.58 Update #2,on AWS
I can no longer sign in securely. Probably because of changes I have tried to make to the mail server's public name.

Now, I can only log into the Plesk server by using the direct IP address, and then it is not secure.
The logon screen says “To avoid SSL warnings during Plesk login, use https://mail.xxxxxx.com:8443 but it wont.

Can you help me troubleshoot this?

It seems that you changed the hostname of the server to mail.xxxxxx.com, but then no new SSL certificate for that name was issued. There is no point about changing the hostname to mail...., so maybe it will be best to change it back to what it originally was?

Eventually had to hire someone to fix it.
So far, Plesk has been of little or no help. Disappointing.
Are there pdf or text manuals that can be downloaded?
