• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi

My plesk server can't resolve the domain.
When I go to my www.mycopany.com he can't find it
When I ping to www.mycompany.com he doesn't find any host.
And then sometime it works????
I reakky dib't uderstand it anymore.
I installed plesk on a fresh install of windows 2003 small bussiness.
I didn't install the miscrosoft DNS, so there must be no conflict with that.
And every service seems to run fine

Am I missing something?

Can somebody please help

I believe the DNS service will only run on the first IP in the pool, so if you've assigned 65.65.23.10 - 65.65.23.19 to you box and setup ns1 on 65.65.23.11 it will not work, it will only function on 65.65.23.10. This is our experience, maybe there is a way to have it respond on all IPs, but this is what we found on our default install. Just a possible solution, hope it helps.

Matt
