CDO slow

I have written a scrip to send an email via an asp page, using cdo, the script has no errors, but it takes about 5 hours for the email to arrive using external email addresses, but if i use a email address for the site the email is almost instant.

Why is it taking so long for the emails to arrive and how do i fixed, I have looked at the mime headers of the emails and its not going to many servers, so i think it could be the iis or plesk settings, can anyone help?

this is not an error with the cdosys script..it might either be the mail queue at the recipient end or at the outgoing mail queue of the current server..make sure that the outgoing mail queue in the surrent server is managable....so that the mail is sent out instantaneously
