  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi all,

We have servers that are running Linux Plesk 8.2 and 8.6 versions, we checked "Check the passwords for mailboxes in the dictionary" works fine in Plesk 8.2, it can prevent user to set the password to simple password such as "modem", however it doesn't work in Plesk 8.6.

We double checked the database psa.misc, the value of "use_vocabulary" is true and the default dictionary files still exists

/usr/local/psa/etc/dict.hwm
/usr/local/psa/etc/dict.pwd
/usr/local/psa/etc/dict.pwi

We wonder it works in version 8.2 but not work any more in 8.6, is this a known issue? How can it be fixed?

OS: both servers are running RHEL 5.2
