• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi.

I got setup Windows 2003 standard server with plesk 7 for Windows.

When plesk was setup, there was a tempoprary hostname on the box. I want change the computer hostname to the correct name, but I don´t know if it will crash my plesk.

Does anyone know how to change the hostname in the notification emails?

Thanks

Somebody can help me please?

When logging in for the first time it asked me for the full hostname setting, it was my mistake to leave it as its default value of "MyLastName.domain.com" and now in all the e-mails that are from my server I see this...

Return-Path: <mydir@mydomain.com>
Received: from IP (EHLO PCHOSTNAME.domain.com) (IP)

in My Computer > Properties - TAB Computer Name

set Computer Name for example server1
and under More - Primary DNS suffix for example mydomain.com

Start All Programms Mailenable > Mailenable Manger
on <Mailenable Management/ Servers/ localhost/ Connectors/ SMTP (Properties) :

Set Local Domain Name and Host Name.

I'm also in the same boat, had a temp name and then changed it after I installed plesk.

Emails are still sent using the old host name...anyone know how to fix this?

maybe you can change the name and then search the registry for the old hostname and change it?
