  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi,
When trying to create an autoresponder for an email account on a plesk 9.2 installation, I try to set it up to forward the email to another address.

There is one particular combination of emails that it will not accept.

vicky@mydomainname.co.uk will not forward to craig@mydomainname.co.uk

it just gives me the message "destination e-mail address is invalid." (it isn't!)
Any other forward address on the VPS goes in fine, and other mail accounts can forward to "craig@mydomainname.co.uk"
It is only the combination of vicky -> craig that fails.

The email address I am trying to forward to is valid.

The really bizaare thing is that we saw this exact same behaviour on a much older server running plesk 8

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Nick

Was there ever a solution to this?
I am getting this same error on a Windows 9.2.1 Plesk box. The wierd thing is that the error only occurs when trying to forward to a specific email address.
Any other email address works except for this specific one.

There is "Mail cycling". You can't set vicky as destination e-mail address, because there is autoresponder set up on it with forward to current mailbox. This configuration might cause autoresponder war and thus prohibited.

Thank you.
This did correct the issue.

The reciepent to the autoforward had an autoforward (not enabled) going back to the first email address.
