  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question DigitalOcean DNS Extension - how to resync in latest version

TomBoB

Silver Pleskian
the extension was updated to version 1.2 - which has no longer the DNS Management tab - which had the option to sync the DNS records from Plesk to Digitalocean.

It is nice that with this version CAA records in PLesk are now synced to Digitalocean name servers; but how to do so for all the existing domains when the sync function has vanished?
I'm not fond of "deactivating all" and then "activating all" again for the hundreds and hundreds of domains just to get the CAA record from Plesk across to digitalocean. Clients won't be happy if their sites can't be reached because of name server issues, even if it is only for a minute or a few more...

Is it possible to run the sync from the CLI ?
If not I might have to do the "deactivation/activation all" during a maintenance windows in quiet time.

Cheers,
Tom
