  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

DNS Problems for Domain Creation

I upgraded to Plesk 7.5 and created a domain on my server. When I look at the DNS records everything appears to be there but I cannot ping the host. I have a ptr record, A record, and CNAME record as well as MX record. On my other server, I created a domain in IIS and it appears to be working fine. Could I have done something wrong on the install?

Check the IP numbers at you plesk panel. Let Plesk them re-read. Cause you talking about that you can't get ping. So there must be something wrong with the IP or Network. Check them out.
