  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hey all,

I have a problem and I wanted to try this forum again since it made me resolve my previous problem too. When i try to start "DNS-server (BIND)" It shows me that it its starting and that it could take some time but it ends up not starting at all. I tried restarting my server and also reinstalling the DNS-server. I hope that this problem is easy to fix.

You can try to troubleshoot bind issue with help of /var/log/messages log file. Try to start bind and check this log for possible error messages. After that you will know what should be fixed.
