  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

dnsmng: System Error: invalid argument

Pie'oh'pah

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I noticed, that the subdomain I just created, was not reachable.
When I tried to ping it from localhost, the DNS was unknown, even if the server is the Primary DNS Server for that specific Zone.

Now I wanted to check the DNS configuration:

www:/usr/local/psa/admin/bin # ./dnsmng
dnsmng: System Error: invalid argument number 1, must be 2 or 3
dnsmng: System Error: invalid argument number 1, must be 2 or 3
www:/usr/local/psa/admin/bin #

And there we are, another fine bug I haven't noticed yet since my last update.
Has anyone a suggestion on how to fix this and make me able to automatically add DNS entries to the DNS Server?

any help would be appreciated.

cheers

dnsmng it's suposed to use parametters, supposedly it should be:
./dnsmng update domain.com it might not work but ...

Thnx,

I had no doubts about that :)

None the less, should it not give me some other response, when no params are given? Lets say "Missing or invalid parameter" or something like that...

I'll try to find the command line docs :)

Sorry for my silly answer, I was in angriness moment with my plesk :p
I've also been trying to find the docs for a whie with no success...
