• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Domain owner bug/issue

Regular Pleskian
Once you've created a domain, and later decide that you'd like someone else to use it, it does not seem possible to change it's ownership. That's an important function when you need to hand the domain over to another user for various reasons. Could this be added?

Also, I noticed that once I created a new user, then created a new domain for the user, that the user could never log in, getting a 'access denied' error. The fix was to restart PSA.

Switching a domain from reseller-account/user is only possible via the DB.
But it is possible to make a script for thiswith a extra button ;)

And every 15 minutes (standard it is 15) PSA reloads all settings, so wait for 15 minutes ;)

It's easy to do:

/usr/local/psa/bin/domain.sh -u DOMAIN -clogin LOGIN

where DOMAIN = domain name in question and LOGIN = the psa login of the client gaining the domain.
