• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Domain_bu issue

Hi - I wonder if anyone can help. I am having issues with the command line to backup a domain.

I first of all tried to do an FTP backup (replaced information below with xxx - but the details were correct):

domain_bu.exe --ftp-backup --domain-name=garlic.co.nz --dump-file=garlic.psa --ftp-server=ftp.xxxx.xxxx --ftp-path=/daily --ftp-login=xxxxxxx --ftp-password=xxxxxxx

I received no errors, and about 4 minutes later, received my command prompt back. That domain was about 8MB in total. The thing is, I checked the remote location and the file was not there. Double checked the details - they were correct. I then changed the ftp-path to a non-existent one, just to test, and received an error message saying the file path was invalid, so that connection part seemed to be OK - it seemed to be the backup itself.

So - I thought I'd test locally. I used this:

domain_bu.exe --backup --domain-name=garlic.co.nz --dump-file="D:\BACKUPS\garlic.psa" --e-mail-from=pleskadmin@plesk_server.com --e-mail-to=xxxxxxxx

This time, it appeared to hang - no errors, but it did not complete. I went to the D:BACKUPS directory and saw a 0kb file named garlic.psa - but it did not change. The domain, meanwhile, stopped responding to web requests and displayed teh default Plesk page. I had to stop and start the domain to get it working again.

I have left the command prompt going for over 30 minutes, which is ridiculous for an 8MB domain, but it is doing nothing. Can anyone provide any ideas as to where this might be going wrong?

I'll provide any information you ask for.
