• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Dr Web Issues

bradz

Regular Pleskian
I have never been happy with Dr Web, although the name is cool.
My issues many stem from the fact that I am not able to control it.

1. I can turn it off in Plesk "Services management" and it still runs updates ever 30 minutes.
2. I can not locate the scheduled task that is doing it (when I go to DrWeb under Scheduled Tasks, I see no tasks)
3. Now with a new server freshly loaded with plesk 9.5 and Centos, DrWeb has decided to send a notice every 30 minutes, which fails to send and then I get it. Just what I need, a reminder that I am not in control.

I was thrilled to see "Parallels Premium Antivirus" when Plesk 9.5 loaded, however that was short lived when the DrWeb issues started up even more out of control then before.

Please, does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to change the frequency of the updates?

or turn DrWeb totally off or turn the notices off?

Sincerely,
Brad
