hello
I want upgrade plesk 7.6 to 8.1 but show this error :
error 1713.Plesk 8.1 for Microsoft windows , cannot install one of its required product . contact your technical support groups .

Please advice me , tanx
 
I can fix this problem . delete dotnetnuke and community server from registery
 
i delete dotnetnuke and community server from registery but still upgrade not working and same error

do i have to reboot the server???

sir, this is Windows Installer internal error and in order to solve this issue it is necessary to know upgrade details.
please do the following:
1. go to folder with plesk 8.1 distribution
2. run upgrade with log
msiexec.exe /i plesk_8.1.0_build061129.18.msi REINSTALLMODE=vomus /l*v plesk_8.1.0_build061129.18.log
3. open plesk_8.1.0_build061129.18.log in any editor
4. find fist "Internal error"
5. reverse find "Product:"
6. select and copy lines between "Product:" and "Internal error"
7. paste it here

You should uninstall DotNetNuke before upgrading.
After upgrade you will intall it anew.

I have the same problem.

I can paste here the requested line to try to find the problem for my installation ? (The file is very big)

Thanks for the reply.

Disabling the mail components from the custom setup resolve this issue for me.

But I'm wrong for another concept. My hoster deliver to me a machine with plesk 7.6.1. First I have unistall 7.6.1, after I have install 8.1.0. But the license key not work in this scenario. So I have reset my machine to the initial status, upgraded to 8.2.0.

I have had the same problem describe in this post, and always in this post I have found the solution (http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45689&highlight=upgrade+to+8.2.0)

It seems now all work fine.
