  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

External SQL server

I have external SQL server and I'm trying to configure network share folder to restore databases through Plesk panel. The problem I get is:

Error: dbbackup failed: Unable to restore database 'something'
Unable to open connection. Error code: 0x00000520

I think that it is a permission issue, but I don't know how to solve it. I've tried almost everything I could do with permissions, tried network share folder both on Plesk server and SQL, Full control to Everyone, etc....

Any clues?

Please check the firewall settings..mysql or mssql server ?

any fixes or update for this issue?

On manual it says :

This directory can be located anywhere in your network and it is required for backing up and restoring MS SQL databases. This directory must be accessible over the network by both the Plesk server and the MS SQL server: both Plesk and the user that is running remote MS SQL Database Server must have read/write access to this directory.

how we can setup the bold part ?
