• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi,

We have recently installed plesk for linux 9.3, the OS is CentOS and the MTA is qmail.

Sometimes when we send a mail for example to examples@hotmiial.com we recieve a Failure notice with the mail that we send but it says that it could not be send to some users, (notice that we only sent the mail to example@hotmiial.com).

It's like drigdon@sd-5266 is sending mails but we didn't have any user and any domain like sd-5266.

Here is an example (the mails and ip's are not the real ones):

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at plesk.somebusiness.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Sorry, I couldn't find any host named csbs.jcyl.es. (#5.1.2)

We didn't find anything in logs and don't know what's happening.

Thanks in advance.

Related errors from /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog would be very useful for investigation.

I have seen a lot of mail in logs like this:

Feb 8 05:10:21 plesk2 qmail-remote-handlers[8188]: Handlers Filter before-remote for qmail started ...
Feb 8 05:10:21 plesk2 qmail-remote-handlers[8187]: from=jmkj@sd-5266
Feb 8 05:10:21 plesk2 qmail-remote-handlers[8187]: to=zanalysis@babicz.net
Feb 8 05:10:21 plesk2 qmail-remote-handlers[8187]: hook_dir = '/usr/local/psa/handlers/before-remote'

I don't know why jmkj@sd-5266 can send mails through our plesk, I have already tested that plesk is not an open relay, any kind of help would be very appreciated!

I don't see any errors here.

Try to rebuild mailsettings with

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --with-spam

Maybe it will help.
