Hi Plesk Team & Community,
I would like to propose a usability improvement for the Plesk File Manager.
As a hosting provider, we and our clients deal with complex directory structures daily. Currently, files in a directory are listed line-by-line. When a folder contains mixed file types (images, scripts, system files), it becomes visually cluttered and hard to navigate compared to desktop file explorers.
The Problem:
There is no effective way to visually separate assets. Sorting by name mixes .php files with .png files, making file operations slower.
The Suggestion:
Please add a "Group by Type" view option or improved sorting logic that visually separates:
1. Folders (Always on top)
2. Images (.jpg, .png, .webp)
3. Code (.php, .html, .js)
4. Archives (.zip, .tar.gz)
This small UX change would significantly improve the daily workflow for server administrators.
Thanks for considering!
