  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Folder Permission Problem 401.3 ACL configuration

I have a strange situation with file manager.

In Plesk 9.5 I uploaded and extracted a folder with sub folders and photos. I then moved this folder to a different location under httpdocs/

In Parallels Desktop Container File Manager I can browse to the container and see the sub-folders / files.

If I try to ftp to the location, I get:
XCWD /httpdocs/folder/uploads
550 /httpdocs/folder/uploads: Access is denied.

If I try to navigate to the folder in Plesk File Manager I get:

The service is not available now.
Contact your provider for details.
Internal Plesk error occurred:
FileManager::get_file_info_wrapper() failed: filemng util failed: Unable to get the object (C:/inetpub/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/folder/uploads) security info: (5) Access is denied.

If I try to browse to the file, I am asked for login password and then get 410.3 error

Error Summary
HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized
You do not have permission to view this directory or page because of the access control list (ACL) configuration or encryption settings for this resource on the Web server.

Any ideas what has happened to the security?
Thanks,
Andy

How it was performed? Did you tried to do it with Plesk FM directly in httpdocs directory?

Yes,

under Plesk > domain > File Manager > Upload file > upload.rar > upload archive and extract it.

I uploaded it to wrong directory, so copy/move the folder location.

It was a big rar file, so loathe to upload it again, if I can fix the permissions another way.
