  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Force mail server name

I wasn't sure how to word the title, but here's the issue.

Is there a way to have Plesk always use the mail (e.g. mail.example.com) name for each domain? I ask because my primary domain will send emails as whatever the server name is set to in Plesk (e.g. plesk.example.com). I'd like it to use the mail record for each corresponding domain (e.g. mail.example2.com, mail.example3.com).

I'm sure there's a way to do this. I just can't think of it off the top of my head.

It's not possible for a couple of reasons.

1. Qmail doesn't know which domain you're sending from.
2. The primary MX for a domain isn't necessarily hosted on the same server.

Dang. I was hoping some gurus on here had a way to do this.
