  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question generate certificate for webmail on another server

Calin

New Pleskian
Hello!

I have the following scenario.

VPS1 - email server (using plesk obsidian): ex: server.mydomain.com ex ip: 2.2.2.2
VPS2 - hosting server: ex: mydomain.com: ex ip: 1.1.1.1

two different VPS servers.

We have configured the VPS1 sever only for emails (Hosting type: no hosting) and is working fine.

the problem is with the webmail.mydomain.com ... where is not secured.

It is possible to generate using let`s encrypt a certificate for the webmail.mydomain.com, if webmail.mydomain.com is pointing to the VPS 1 and not VPS 2 ???

I don`t think it`s gonna work...but I am asking, because .... probably the let`s encrypt see the webmail.mydomain.com as a subdomain for VPS2 and the certificate should be generated on the VPS2....but the webmail.mydomain.com is on VPS1 configured.
