  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Stephan Griesel

Basic Pleskian
Hey guys!

Clef is easier (don't need enter code) but I haven't use it on Plesk.
Google Authenticator is extremely reliable and free. :)

yes is free too can also ajust time logout or keep login unlimited times "choose when logout"
so you can test if you want and compare choose your favorite authenticator.:)

I'm in contact with devs about releasing their Extension (which works just fine on several machines) to the public. :)

That's great news!
Is this an implementation using the OTP feature of the Yubikey?

I was looking to create a 2nd factor plugin a short while ago but struggled with a lack of resources/info, and the encrypted source of the extensions developed by Plesk. If this module is released I'd be keen to see your implementation from an educational perspective.

I will let you know once I got more information. I am not the DEV, it may need a few weeks/month, but I'm doing my best to get us this solution working.

Feature request:
Yubikey

Sorry for this necroposting, but I have news related to the Yubikey, etc. We have closed the UserVoice request related to the Yubikey ("Expand 2FA options: Yubikey, WebAuthn (FIDO, FIDO2, U2F), also HOTP counter-code for existing Google Authenticator")

The Social Login extension now supports the WebAuthn protocol. This makes it possible to authenticate to Plesk using passkeys, hardware tokens, and more. Learn more about WebAuthn support in Plesk.

Changes 1.9.0
(9 December 2024)

  • [+] Added the ability to create passkeys for users. This feature enables a secure and user-friendly authentication method using WebAuthn.
  • [-] Significantly reduced the disk space used by the extension. (EXTPLESK-6248)

Let us know if you have any feedback.
