• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New Pleskian
hello i was wondering what plesk supports for file systems? we currently have XFS with selinux disabled but it dosent want to sync. the support is working on it.

but we cant wait for them to figure it out so we are going to reinstall but id like to know if plesk onyx works best with ext3 or ext4? or some other file system?

Plesk is independent of the file system format unless it is something exotic with limited capabilities. xfs, reiserfx, jfs, ext3, ext4 all work. ext4 is the most advanced, so you might want to choose that one for your host anyway.

What do you mean by "does not want to sync"? What is a "sync" operation between Plesk and a file system?

Got it, you are speaking about Plesk Multi Server, not Plesk Onyx (Onyx respectively as a service node in a Multi Server installation). Sorry, I assumed that this is about an Only installation as the thread is not in the Multi Server forum section. Cannot help you with your issue in that case.
