  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hardwarefirewall - Webmail - Which DNS?

Hey folks,

I have a problem with webmail. We used to manage our emails through our domainprovider, but since we just edit the config of our hardwarefirewall, we can't use that option anymore. So I decided to use the webmail system on plesk.

First of all we use Plesk 9.2.2.. So we have a existing domain in it and atmail is enabled for it. At the moment we have the following dns settings for webmail:

1.) *.webmail.domain.com CNAME domain.com
2.) webmail.domain. com CNAME domain.com
3.) mail.domain.com A Record 123.123.123.123

If I tried to enter http://webmail... or https://webmail... or http://atmail.webmail... or https://atmail.webmail... it just gives me a "not found" message.

I've created to e-mails for my domain to test them a little bit. It seems that the server receives the e-mails. I can see them on the server itself. A redirect doesn't work neither.

I don't know what's wrong, so maybe you can help me out please!

Thank you very much!
