  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How do I change the default subscription after logging in to Plesk?

Regular Pleskian
Hi there,

I've migrated a number of clients from a Plesk 9.5 server to a new box with Plesk 11.5. For new hosting plan orders, I find the Plesk 11.5 subscription model to be great, but for migrating from older versions of Plesk it doesn't appear to be very good at all. After the migration, Plesk sets up a single subscription for each domain. I would really like to be able to merge subscriptions or at the very least move a domain from one subscription to another, however neither of these options are possible.

At the very least I would like to do some damage control. Here are two problems:

1. I have one customer that, after logging in to Plesk, is presented with a subscription for a domain that they almost never use, which is confusing since it's not exactly straightforward where to go to change subscriptions. The customer accidentally added 5 unrelated domains to that subscription before realizing they weren't in 'the right spot'. I then had to move all the extra domains manually to the 'correct' subscription.

2. I have another customer that finds themselves presented with a suspended subscription immediately after logging in to Plesk, so it appears like they can't add domains, email addresses or work with their sites in any way until they find the little subscription changing dropdown.

Although I would much prefer to merge subscriptions to get around these issues, since that's not possible, I would like to at least be able to fall back to simply changing each of those customers' default subscriptions. Where do I go to specify which subscription the customer sees immediately after logging in to their account?
