How do I downgrade Plesk 8.0.1 to 7.5.4?

Plesk 8.0.1 looks very good with the new administrator-desktop, but after a dos-attack i had to reinitialize my rootserver with a service by 1&1. Plesk 8.0.1. was installed with SUSE (no choice for 7.5.4). the problem: my backup.tar.gz was build by a daily cron-job with Plesk 7.5.4 and contains myserver:/ #root/home/ as well as root/etc/ and root/var/ directories. i would like to restore first and upgrade afterwards. thanks a lot for anny answer!

I have not done a downgrade but I remembered reading a thread just awhile ago:

Do a search you may find your answers without posting a new thread.
