  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How do I export a license key?

Hello,

I'm trying to move to a new machine, all I'm missing is to move the plesk key from the old machine to the new one.

In the plesk control panel - server - license management, I have no option to export the key (I have it in other plesk machines).

Is there any other way to remove the key from the old machine and put it in the new one?

Thanks in advance.

The keymanager:

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/

./keymng --fetch >> /root/psakey.key

This will output the key to psakey.key in the root home directory. You can then import it later in a clean PSA install via the CP. IIRC, its also supposed to be included in PSAdumps.

I'm exporting plesk license key from Plesk 8.6.0 server in the above mentioned way.

When I import this key to our new Plesk 11.0.9 server, it fails via CP, saying -> Error: Invalid key: Unknown key format

Please advise.
