  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How does the statistics recording work when you visit the site?

1) Does it write to sitebuilder or to the published site?
2) Does it use XML or access/sql database to record the visit?
3) When in the admin panel, does it query the published site DB to get the visits or use the sitebuilder DB ?

thanks

Hello,

1. Published site.
2. It uses Access database.
3. It queries published site.

That makes sense then

So when I moved a site for a few days because the server was down, it was recording the clicks in the new location.

when the server was back, i should have copied the access DB from the temporary location to the fixed server.

Would anything else have been effected?
does anything else link to the published site from the sitebuilder admin screens like the stats?

Yes, if you want to keep track of site clicks in temporary location - you need to copy access database on the new place. However you need to understand that this action can ovveride new changes.

From admin panel you can also manage site users (Registration module).
