  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How many Domains can 1 shared IP sustain?

wdriver

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

Firstly i don't have any problems on my server. This question is just a bit of preventative maintenance so i don't find myself in strife down the track :)

Currently 525 websites all use 1 shared IP address on my server. Does anyone know if there is a limitation set (Either by PLESK, or by standard networking limitations) for how many sites can be placed under a shared IP?

Thanks for your time in advance,

Wayne.

As far as I know Apache can handle limited quantity of vhosts. I don't know how much exactly but I think it is depends on several factors. Also it is limited by Plesk license :)

Thanks Igor,
I currently have an Unlimited Domain PLESK License so that is ok.
I will check Apache and see what information i can find there.
