Resolved How to force impa/pop3 connections in SSL/TLS and not in clear?

Please consider to tell in the thread which System (OS, Plesk, courier or dovecot) you are running, then you might get faster a qualified answer

check out /etc/dovecot.conf or conf.d, and if you like disable insecure imap and pop3 protocols and only offer imaps and pop3s in combination with setting disable_plaintext_auth = yes
and test your configuration then.
