  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How to inherit permission on c:\inetpub\vhosts dir

TaskSoftware

New Pleskian
I have a script for backing up windows dirs/files that I use on my linux backup server. I'd like to make a dump of the domains hosted on my plesk and I'll be needing to set the backup user permission in the vhosts directory so that I can share and mount the dir for backing up the files.

But the problem is that when I set the permission on the C:\inetpub\vhosts, the permission isn't inherited to the subdirs. So when I mount the sharedir and try to access the subdirectories, I get the permission denied error.

How can I make the permission of the share user get inherited to the subdirectories?
