• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How to Install DotNetNuke 5.x using Plesk

Good Morning,

I need to install Dotnetnuke 5.x on a dedicated server that's running Plesk 9.2 or 9.3 (I think 9.2). I've created the 4 domains in Plesk and see that each has their own httpdocs directory. I've extracted the DNN files to the httpdocs directory. When I go to mydomain.com/Install/install.aspx I receive an HTTP 404 Access Denied error. So, I tried changing permissions on the httpdocs directory only to find out that permissions couldn't be changed on that folder.

How do I setup Plesk to run DNN? Do I need to assign permissions to each subfolder under httpdocs? Should this be done using file manager or virtual directories in Plesk? What about simply using RDP to access the server, changing file permissions in Windows Explorer? Will Plesk recognize those changes?

Thanks,
Sid

Hi,

I have the same problem. You can change the permission of the sub folders through file manager bu that didn't help me fix the problem.
