  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How to modify the timeout on Protected Directories

Hello Folks--

My site is using the plesk Protected Directories feature (using .htaccess files and such) to limit access to some data.

However, the timeout for this seems to be set fairly low by default.
Every time our users visit the site, they are forced to re-enter their login credentials.

Is there a way to modify this timeout to a greater time (1 week would be ideal),
so that users do not need to re-enter the info every time.

I am not sure if htis can be done with the httpd.include or http.conf file, or somewhere else,
there is certainly nowhere in the plesk console to modify this.

Thanks ahead of time for your help.
Jeff
