  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

How to restore mail accounts from filesystem backup

We don't use the Plesk backup/restore scripts. Instead, we backup the full filesystem using our backup software. We accidentally deleted a site, but we successfully restored the web content for it already. The mail account files have been restored to /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/, but the mail accounts don't show up in Plesk.

How can I make Plesk see that the mail account files have been restored and re-create the mail accounts?

Thanks.

Has anyone ever restored e-mail accounts from a filesystem backup? This domain is still not completely restored.

Thanks again.
