After a few hours searching, I found how to change phpmyadmin in plesk.
2.8.2.4 has some bugs with mysql 5.
I have now successfully installed pma 2.9.2
There are some files to modify.
if anyone is really interested I can give you files to modify

To install phpmyadmin 2.9 into plesk.
Keep safe your old plesk pma 2.8xx of course.
The phpmyadmin is in
/usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/domains/databases
I rename first old release PhpMyAdmin as phpmyadmin2_8
then download and extract pma 2.9 there and name it PhpMyAdmin

in libraries sufbolder replace the files
commmon.lib.php
session.inc.php
config.default.php
-in this file you have some values to replace
search the words ***REPLACE WITH OLD VALUE****
you should find 3 times.
look in you old file for pma2.8 and put it your old values.

in scripts folder
create_tables.sql
create_tables_mysql_4_1_2+.sql

I have no problem with mysql 5 now
