  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

httpd.conf & custom 503 error page?

halliday

Basic Pleskian
Hi

I am trying to have the server display my own 503 page when the error is encountered.

Now I was told to uncomment the line:
# ErrorDocument 503 /error/HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE.html.var
in httpd.conf and edit the content of that file, i.e. "HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE.html.var"

have done all this, but it did not work.

"httpd.conf" is in /etc/httpd/conf/
and
"HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE.html.var" is in /var/www/errors

The point is that when 503 error (Serice Unavailable) is encountered, the displayed message is actually different to the message in "HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE.html.var"

Where is apache getting the error messages from?
How can I change them?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated,

David
