  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

httpd-devel on Centos 5.6

httpd-devel not working

hi,

sorry, was away for longer time.

i tried to install httpd-devel package provided by you, but i get again:

error: Failed dependencies:
httpd = 2.2.3-45.el5.centos.1 is needed by httpd-devel-2.2.3-45.el5.centos.1.x86_64

i am also not sure, why you provide me httpd-devel-2.2.3 when rpm says httpd-2.2.12 is installed?

i think the packaging workflow goes slow but sure into the wrong direction.....

hope we can close this thread asap

thanks
patrick

Now httpd-devel packages are available. To install it it's needed to add yum repository

http://autoinstall.plesk.com/APACHE_2.2.12/dist-rpm-CentOS-5-i386

or

http://autoinstall.plesk.com/APACHE_2.2.12/dist-rpm-CentOS-5-x86_64

depending on OS arch. After that you can install httpd-devel via yum.

Neither location contains httpd-devel.

More importantly, you illegally removed LICENSE, so you have no license to distribute our code and I hereby demand that you cease and desist from distributing Apache until you can comply with the license.

If you specify yum repo http://autoinstall.plesk.com/APACHE_2.2.12/dist-rpm-CentOS-5-i386/ you can get devel packages by yum
Or you can download it manually from http://autoinstall.plesk.com/APACHE_2.2.12/dist-rpm-CentOS-5-i386/contrib/

We will add directory /usr/share/doc/httpd-XXX/ with license and content to our package.

Hmm, now I see a file I didn't before and although the version number doesn't quite match, it does seem to work. Thanks much.

We will add directory /usr/share/doc/httpd-XXX/ with license and content to our package.

Much appreciated.

Igor and all, I wasn't very nice about the way I mentioned the license issue. I apologize for being a jerk about it. I was tired and frustrated from working on a server all night, undoing suexec and all. I shouldn't have let that set the tone of my message here. I should have been gracious about the way I brought up the concern. I apologize.

RayMorris,

You shouldn't worry about it! And thank you for notification and cooperation :)
