  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

HTTPS Docs Not Showing - File Not Found On This Server

Hi Everyone!

I installed a RapidSSL Certificate at location "https://www.domain.com" but "https://www.domain.com/support" does not... nothing I place in the HTTPSDOCS folder will appear. Any idea what I can be doing wrong? I am trying to setup a cart system at support location followed by php coding so the file I am looking to display is "https://www.domain.com/support/index.php"

Error:
Not Found
The requested document was not found on this server.

The error is reached by typing full URL with index.php or by typing just to "/support/"

Background Information

Plesk Version: 8.4
Server OS: Windows 2003
Dedicated IP: Yes
SSL Enabled: Yes
SSL Installed: Yes

I apologize - I don't understand that reply... this is what I am getting from it:

"The document root os web site always points to httpdocs folder." means that any "www.domain.com" always points to the httpdocs folder (no http(s)docs)

This I understand but I am trying to access it through SSL - which I thought I had to place the file in the http(s)docs folder - which is where the files are located not in the httpdocs...

If I place inthe httpdocs folder it is in fact accessible - but not through SSL or http(s)://www.domain.com/support/

Hope this clarify's my questions and understanding of your response! Thanks as well!!

I am hoping to get this cart installed by tonight!! :)

Any suggestions at this point?

Any Suggestions - Sergius, are you saying that if I put the cart system into the regular HTTPDOCS folder it will be accessible through HTTPS?

Still Not Displaying Files Behind SSL?

I did both items you mentioned and it still doesn't show files beyond "https://www.domain.com" it will show the index file at "https://www.domain.com" which happens to be default file but I am trying to reach

Any suggestions??

Frustrating

I am following all the directions. I am placing the files in the proper folders and enabling the proper support? What is the deal? Has anyone else experienced this please let me know... the ssl certificate is for https://www.domain.com should that matter that it goes beyond just domain.com? Maybe that's the problem?

I am running out of patience with this issue and starting to feel useless :)

Please help.

thanks

Thanks ryogi! - Let me know! sergius - Any other suggestion if everything in plesk is correct that may have to do with server settings... Windows OS 2003 Platform? Why HTTPS files would not be showing??

Where did you obtain SSL certificate?

Hello Azure,

I also had the same error.
Fortunately I found the fix.

The option "Use a single directory for housing SSL and non-SSL content" under the "Web Hosting Settings" in the Plesk control panel might be enabled. Try disabling that option. It worked for me.

Let me know if you are still getting the error.

If anyone runs into this issue with Plesk Onyx the fix is super easy. Pull up the desired domain: "Domain --> Hosting Settings," scroll down to the Security section and change the setting which supports "legacy" httpdocs and httpsdocs folder structure.

Here are a few sites for additional information:

  1. How to disable compatibility mode for the legacy option "Separate SSL/TLS and non-SSL/TLS content" for all domains?
  2. Site shows 403 Forbidden error via HTTPS (the message shown in this document is old, at least when compared to the version of Plesk Onyx I am on)
